IMPORTANT PRAYER TRUTHS
Acts 6:4 NKJV “but we will give ourselves CONTINUALLY to prayer and to the ministry of the word.” : Prayer Truths
Prayer is not something you take a break from, just like you don’t take a vacation from breathing. It is that much of a necessity.
Note the order
- Prayer first and then the ministry of The Word
For a preacher, It is in prayer, you know what to say. Jeremiah 33:3 whatever your field or role or life’s demand on you, it is also PRAYER FIRST
Prayer and then parenting- Prayer and then your business or career
- Prayer first and then leading a family.
- Prayer first and then heading an organization. Isaiah 48:17
- Exodus 25:40– Patterns are revealed on the mountain!
There’s a transaction that’s taking place in prayer that keeps everything working and prevents you from breaking down or any area of your life from shutting down. This is the Prescription of THE CHRIST- Luke 18:1; A person not praying will soon be fainting. A person not praying will soon be feeling like drinking, quitting or messing up. You are either winning in prayer or losing outside of it.
- Prayer is like incense or Fragrance. Rev 5:8. Psalm 141:2
It creates an atmosphere- that repels evil and attracts good. It’s one reason prayer has to be continuous because the effect of a fragrance can wear off, so the only way to keep the incense rising, is to keep the prayers ongoing. When you pray, it’s not only the prayer that rises, the one praying also rises.. They shall mount up with wings, like the eagle! Isaiah 40:31. - Prayer is as old as man’s awareness of his limitations. Genesis 4:26
Elijah, though a man with weakness prayed and got supernatural results in spite of his weakness… James 5:17. Prayer makes you succeed in spite of personal limitations and makes your weakness not to count against you. Prayer makes you rise above the gravitational pull of such weaknesses and gives you results in life in spite of them. - A season, dispensation or era in your life should not begin without prayers
The day should not start without prayers. Mark 1:35. Nehemiah: spent four months in prayers before embarking on the project of building a city wall and then executed it in 52 days! Nehemiah 1:1; 1:4; 2:1. This is how to beat the traffic, overcome slow motion and expedite results in life. This is also how to beat discouragement. When THE LORD JESUS prayed, an angel came and strengthened HIM. Luke 22;43. If THE SON OF GOD Needed strength, you will too. It’s only a matter of time, new exposures and fresh demands. - Prayer increases the frequency of angelic activities.
Daniel prayed – Angels showed up. Daniel 9:3; 10:12. The early church prayed God sent an angel to rescue Peter. Acts 12:5-11. JESUS Prayed, An Angel Came and Strengthened HIM. Luke 22:43. Ephesians 6:18– there are all types of prayers releasing all types and categories of Angels and their interventions. It is in prayer that we cause Romans 8:28 to happen- all things working together for good. Note that Romans 8:28 is tied to the preceding verses 26&27, that’s why it begins with a conjunction word: “AND”, - A life of consistent prayers is frequented with more miracles – divine coincidences.
A life where prayer is less consistent will be occasioned by inconsistent results. A life without prayer will be left with only what the arm of the flesh can produce and the flesh profits nothing! John 6:63.
Note: The key to consistency in prayers is to SCHEDULE IT. Hence the Bible talks about THE HOUR OF PRAYER. Acts 3:1. You will always CREATE TIME for what you consider as important. - It is also in prayers that you enforce The Will of GOD in your life. Thy will be done on earth as it is in heaven. Matthew 6:10.
There’s a picture of you from heaven’s perspective;
From heaven’s perspective,
You can’t fail,- You are in a state of optimal health,
- You are not jobless or without clients. Your life is running on rails and your impact is phenomenal!
- In that realm, limits don’t exist.
It is however in prayer that you bring heaven’s reality into your practical experience. GOD’s Word is the surer Word of Prophecy but you enforce its reality in prayers. 1 Tim 1:18
- Prayer is the key to divine guidance, which is key to unending victories.
“Now thanks be to God who always LEADS US IN TRIUMPH in Christ, and through us diffuses the fragrance of His knowledge in every place.”II Corinthians 2:14 NKJV
It’s those leadings that produce continuous triumphs
“Then Jesus answered and said to them, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the Son can do nothing of Himself, but what He sees the Father do; for whatever He does, the Son also does in like manner.” John 5:19 NKJV
Prayer brings GOD’s Power to the place and people where it’s most needed! Isaiah 32:15 until THE SPIRIT is poured from on high. Making the wilderness- What wasn’t working to start working (could be business, relationship, health, etc)
And, the fruitful field – what’s already working, to begin to work even better! It’s called living from glory to glory!
